GAPC delegation visit Italy , Switzerland , France and UAE
LAHORE: A 16-member delegation of the Gold Art Promotion Council-Pakistan, headed by Muhammad Ahmad, Chairman, Working Committee, visited Vicenza, Italy to find out new markets for the Pakistani gems and jewellery sector. In Vicenza, the delegation discussed matters of professional interests with the Fair officials. Both sides vowed to increase trade relations in the field of gem & jewellery sector. The GAPC-Pakistan team also visited Switzerland (Geneva) and searched markets of Pakistani gems and jewellery. A positive response was witnessed and more than expected response was found. After this the delegation toured Paris and met a number of jewellers. There was a big demand for the Pakistani jewellery and the delegation was assured full cooperation in the increase in the trade of Pakistani gems and jewellery sector. On its way back to Pakistan, the GAPC-Pakistan delegation stayed for three days in Dubai, where it was warmly received by the jewellers of Pakistan, Indian and other countries.
Earlier, in Karachi a delegation of Anjuman-e-Flah-o-Behbood Zargran, headed by its President, M Shaki Fancy, called on the team of the GAPC-Pakistan. The delegation included Muhammad Mehboob, Chairman, Farid Soomro, Vice-Chairman and Ibrahim Seth, Member, Supervisory Cabinet, Anjuman-e-Flah-o-Behbood Zargran. They decided to work together for the welfare of the jewellers' community of the country. Mr Shaki assured full cooperation to Mr Muhammad Ahmad in his efforts for the promotion of Pakistani gems & jewellery exports.
