Gold prices in India’s bullion market dip to two-month low level continued selling and bearish trend in New York, led to the dip. Gold prices reached Rs 16,310 per 10 grams at the bullion market, which indicates them falling to nearly a two-month low. The dip in prices has been prompted by continued selling behaviour, following a bearish trend in New York.
Price of standard gold (99.5 purity) fell by Rs 65 per 10 grams, closing at Rs 16,310 over the previous day’s closing of Rs 16,375. Pure gold (99.9 purity) showed a fall of a similar margin and closed at Rs 16,395, as compared to Rs 16,460. In New York gold futures decreased, due to the dollar strengthening against the euro. Also, gold for April delivery slipped by 1.4 percent or $ 14.90 and closed at $ 1,088.80 an ounce.
